Bishkek, Get Ready! The International Forum “Victory 9/45 Film Panorama” Starts on April 8

For two days, the capital of Kyrgyzstan will become a point of attraction for young directors, producers and acclaimed masters of cinema from across Eurasia. The main goal of the forum is professional dialogue and the search for new creative partnerships.

A special place in the program will be given to screenings of films about the Great Patriotic War made by the republics of the USSR, as well as to the legacy of the great Soviet and Russian director Stanislav Govorukhin.

The program opens with a creative evening and concert, “The Meeting Place Cannot Be Changed”, dedicated to the master’s 90th anniversary. Well-known Russian film actors will take part.

The Patriotic Festival “I Remember, I Am Proud” Took Place in Moldova

In the town of Basarabeasca, with the support of the international patriotic movement “Victory 9/45”, a festival of military-patriotic songs, poetry and drawings titled “I Remember, I Am Proud” was held to mark the 81st anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

Children’s and youth creative groups, reciters and artists performed on the stage of the local cultural center.

As part of the festival, there was a screening of the documentary film “And Let Us Bow” by the renowned Soviet director Nicolae Ghibu, dedicated to the events of the Jassy-Kishinev Offensive.

Created at the Moldova-Film studio, the film tells, in poetic form, the story of a remarkable battle that led to the liberation of Moldova and Romania from the German-Fascist invaders.

The Jassy-Kishinev Operation is considered one of the Red Army’s most successful offensives. Germany’s defeat forced Romania to leave its alliance with the Third Reich and join the anti-Hitler coalition.

April 19 — Day of Remembrance for the Victims of the Genocide of the Soviet People During the Great Patriotic War

In 1943, Decree No. 39 of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR, “On Measures of Punishment for German-Fascist Criminals...”, was issued. This document was the first to legally establish responsibility for the mass extermination of civilians in the occupied territories by the Nazis and their accomplices.

Behind every line of the archival records are millions of lives cut short: elderly people, women and children who were shot at Babi Yar and Khatyn, burned alive in concentration camps, starved in besieged Leningrad, and killed in gas chambers and gas vans.

This is not merely a matter of statistics. These are the fates of entire families, villages and cities. According to modern estimates, the total civilian losses of the USSR amounted to more than 13 million people. This was a genocide with no statute of limitations.

Today, our duty is to remember. To pass the truth on to those who come after us. To prevent history from being rewritten and the feat of those who endured and prevailed from being devalued.

An Intellectual Battle for School Students and Young Teachers, “Akylman Ordo”, Took Place in Manas

Last week, the administration building in the Kyrgyz city of Manas became the scene of an intense intellectual contest. More than two hundred people gathered there to test their knowledge, quick thinking and ability to work as a team.

The intellectual battle was organized by the public association “Youth Movement of Kyrgyzstan” and the Eurasia KG Public Foundation. The theme of the game was the Great Patriotic War.

During the quiz, teams had to recall Operation Barbarossa, the heroic deeds of Ivan Panfilov, Cholponbay Tuleberdiev and Duyshonkul Shopokov, the storming of Berlin in 1945, as well as speak about Kyrgyzstan’s role on the home front and how the republic became a home for many Soviet citizens during the evacuation.

The international patriotic movement “Victory 9/45” congratulates the winners and thanks all participants for an outstanding game. You have shown that intellect and the memory of a heroic past are a force that unites generations.

ANO Eurasia Is Always There to Help Where It Is Needed Most

Boris Chernyshov, Deputy Speaker of the State Duma and head of the patriotic movement “Victory 9/45”, highlighted the importance of the organization’s projects at the forum “Eurasia — A Territory of Traditional Values”.

“‘Victory 9/45’ and ANO ‘Eurasia’ are a point of stability and a space for dialogue. It is precisely such public initiatives and such civil society organizations that create the conditions for people, regardless of their country or the political circumstances in which their state is developing, to find common ground through people-to-people diplomacy,” Chernyshov noted.

The large-scale public and business forum “Eurasia — A Territory of Traditional Values” is dedicated to the second anniversary of ANO Eurasia. Its participants include statesmen, ministers, leaders from business, education, culture, media and civil society organizations — 800 experts from different countries. Over the past two years, the organization’s initiatives have brought together more than 120,000 like-minded people from almost 40 countries around the world.

Organizers and volunteers of the “In the Footsteps of History” project shared their impressions from a visit to the village of Dohs.

Ahead of Victory Day celebrations, 150 young people came together to clean up and restore a memorial dedicated to the fallen heroes of the Great Patriotic War.

The program is carried out with the participation of the international patriotic movement “Victory 9/45”. The symbol of the initiative is a ribbon bearing the words: “Eurasia was here — and now it is clean.”

The ribbon remains at the restored sites as a sign of respect for history, attention to detail, and the work that has been done.

A burial ceremony for Red Army soldiers was held at the Șerpeni Bridgehead Memorial Complex with the participation of the international patriotic movement Victory 9/45.

Eighty-two years later, 16 nameless heroes who fell in the spring and summer of 1944 during the liberation of Moldova from German-Romanian forces received their military and Orthodox honors.

Their remains were discovered in the summer of 2025 during field expeditions by the Russian Historical and Patriotic Club and the August search detachment. No identification tags or documents were found with them, and sadly, it was not possible to establish the soldiers’ names.

Representatives of the legislative and executive authorities, diplomats from the Embassy of the Russian Federation, members of veterans’ organizations, and young people came to pay their final respects.

Beneath the proudly waving Banners of Victory and to the strains of the State Anthem of the USSR, the unknown soldiers were laid to eternal rest at the military cemetery of the Șerpeni Bridgehead Memorial Complex.

I had long wanted to fulfill my dream — to tell the stories of the children of war

Boris Chernyshov, Deputy Speaker of the State Duma and head of the Victory 9/45 movement, presented an award to Elena Stepanova from Moldova — a person with a generous heart who turned a deeply personal dream into the socially significant project “Children of War: Memory in Words and Faces.”
“The most important thing is that tens of thousands of people around the world have become part of the Victory 9/45 movement. We were created to tell everyone about the heroic deeds of our families,” Boris Chernyshov noted.
Elena Stepanova became one of our grant recipients last year. She collected hundreds of unique stories — from personal video interviews about years of hardship to archival photographs revealing forgotten pages of our shared history. The project resulted in 250 unique photo books, which now carefully preserve the truth about this heroic legacy in schools and libraries across Moldova and Transnistria.
“When the time came to choose a topic for the grant competition, I was delighted, because I had long wanted to bring to life an idea I had carried for years — to tell the stories of the children of war. I am grateful to ANO Eurasia for making my dream come true,” Elena Stepanova said.

A Memorial Alley was laid in honor of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War in Gyumri, Armenia.

Participants cleaned up the area where the future alley will be located, installed memorial plaques bearing the names of participants in the Great Patriotic War, and laid flowers at the memorial.

The location of the Memorial Alley is symbolic — nearby are the Mother Armenia monument, the Black Fortress, and Victory Park.

Each sapling in the new alley is not just a tree, but the story and fate of a hero.

The event was supported by young people, volunteers, residents of Gyumri, and representatives of local authorities.

Representatives of the Russian Consulate General in Gyumri, headed by Consul General Igor Titov, as well as staff of the Russian House in Gyumri, including its head Anton Beryaev, also took part in laying the Memorial Alley.

In Lüshunkou — the legendary Port Arthur — we honored the memory of Soviet soldiers together with compatriots.

I am working in China on a special and truly honorable mission. Today in Lüshunkou — the legendary Port Arthur — together with our compatriots, we honored the memory of Soviet soldiers who helped liberate Northeast China from Japanese militarists in August 1945.

It is especially meaningful to see the respect with which Soviet memorials and the heroism of our soldiers are treated in China. This was also noted by State Duma Speaker and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of ANO Eurasia, Vyacheslav Viktorovich Volodin, during his visit to China in 2025. It was precisely thanks to the agreements reached by Volodin with the Chinese side that today’s event took place.

This is living memory, and preserving it is one of the key tasks of the Victory 9/45 movement, which I lead.

No one is forgotten, nothing is forgotten.
