WHIP THE ENEMY

The exploits of the son of the Tajik people Teshaboy Odilov (Adylov) were reported in many historical and literary essays and newspapers both during the war and later.

“The fighter Tesheboy Odilov took aim and fired. The fascist collapsed to the ground. Following that, Odilov put down another German soldier… This day he managed to shoot down two more officers. It was the first sniper’s day of Red Army man Odilov” – from the materials of the newspaper “Vechernaya Moskva.

He became famous in the battles on the Nevsky Patch. During the war his sniper account amounted to 114 Germans.

Today his sniper rifle is one of the exhibits of the Museum of the Defense of Leningrad.
