The song “Eh, roads…” appeared in the fall of 1945, when the Great Patriotic War had already ended

The music was written by composer Anatoly Novikov. The lyrics are by songwriter Lev Oshanin. At the front he performed many times in front of the soldiers.

The song was written specially for the theatrical program “Victorious Spring”.

The first performer of the composition was the NKVD ensemble. Later the song became very popular, it was performed by Muslim Magomaev, Dmitry Hvorostovsky and Oleg Dal.

Despite the post-war creation, the song became a symbol of the memory of the war.
