The restoration of the Panfilov monument has begun in Kyrgyzstan

In the village named after Panfilov, they are restoring the monument to the legendary commander of the 316th Rifle Division, Ivan Panfilov.

The initiative for the restoration was launched by the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University (KRSU).

One of the main partners in the restoration is a steel plant from Russia’s Sverdlovsk region.

The initiative was also supported by:

Vice Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh, Nurlanbek Azygaliev.

It’s a shame that progress was made only at the initiative of KRSU. We could have taken care of preserving our own history much earlier. But better late than never!
