Today, a commemorative lesson dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War was held at the Y.A. Gagarin Russian-Tajik school.
Pupils were told about the decisive role of the Red Army in liberating Europe from Nazism and how this feat changed the fate of the whole world.
Special attention was paid to the heroism of citizens on the front and in the rear:
✔ more than 300 thousand sons and daughters of Tajikistan fought on the war fronts;
✔ hospitals worked in the republic, and factories and collective farms supplied the front with cotton, food and uniforms;
✔ 90 thousand soldiers from the Tajik SSR died a brave death defending the Motherland.
The memory of the war is not just history, but a lesson of courage and unity for all of us. We have a duty to pass on the truth about the feat of our grandfathers and great-grandfathers so that the tragedy of war will never be repeated.
