But instead of uniting people on a day of common memory and pride, an alien holiday is imposed on citizens. To eradicate the memory of the Victory, the memory of the people-liberators, of the heroic Red Army. They are told: “We are not waiting for Moldovans who want to honor the memory of their ancestors. There is no place for the Victory here”. But there will be a place for European guests.
The attempt to squeeze Victory Day out of the squares will not work. It is a conscious provocation aimed at splitting society.
Our movement “Victory 9/45” was created to unite people. Commemorative actions will still be held in many countries of Eurasia. Including a solemn celebration in Kyrgyzstan, where May 9 is truly a people’s holiday.
History cannot be rewritten by fiat. And those who today are trying to “cancel the Victory” for the sake of political conjuncture, tomorrow history itself will be left behind brackets.
