The Alley of Eternal Friendship of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation was opened in Astana – the event is timed to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory

The Minister of Culture of Russia Olga Lyubimova, Minister of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan Aida Balayeva, Ambassador of Russia Alexei Borodavkin and Akim of Astana Zhenis Kasymbek spoke at the opening ceremony.

Olga Lyubimova reminded that the opening of the Alley is held within the framework of festive events on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory: “The people of Kazakhstan from the first days of the war showed incredible courage, made feats both on the front and in the rear. Many leading cultural institutions were evacuated to Kazakhstan. It was here that the great Soviet works that have become our common cultural heritage were created.
