The son of the Tajik people Ashmurat Nazarov during the Great Patriotic War showed himself not only as a brave warrior, but also as a talented organizer of party and political work.
In one of the battles he managed to kill a German officer and to obtain plans for the construction of enemy defensive lines. For this feat he was awarded the Order of Patriotic War of the I degree.
Ashmurat Nazarov inspired fighters not only with political information, but also with his artistic word. One of his poems is “Old Soldier”.
“…I walked fearlessly, they say,
in a shot overcoat.
I didn’t get lost in the forests,
I didn’t sink in the swamps!
And it’s not about miracles,
It’s not about complicated turns of phrase,
And if you’re called a fighter,
If you’re called a fighter, then you’re worthy of it:
“Not before the enemy, not before the lead
Don’t bend down, warrior!”
