On May 11, 1945, Soviet troops completed the Prague Operation, which lasted six days

In the area of the town of Rokycany, occupied by the Germans since the spring of 1939, as well as in other areas in the west of Czechoslovakia, the Red Army units joined the American troops.

During May 11 the Red Army troops pursued the German troops of General Field Marshal Scherner who refused to surrender and, moving forward, occupied the towns of Žigle, Kralovice, Rakovník and others on the territory of Czechoslovakia.

From May 9 to May 11, the front troops took 121,660 German soldiers and officers and 7 generals who had surrendered indiscriminately as prisoners.
