In Chisinau, with the support of the “Victory 9/45” movement, a series of commemorative events were held to mark the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
Leaders and representatives of opposition political parties and blocs, members of veteran and youth organizations, ordinary citizens and guests of the capital of the Republic of Moldova took part in the procession of the Immortal Regiment and the Victory March, despite the opposition of the authorities.
The main banner of the solemn march was the Victory Banner, a sacred symbol of courage and steadfastness of our people. The festive column was led by the veteran of the Great Patriotic War, Colonel Vasily Litvinov, who walked the whole route from the city center to the memorial complex “Eternity”.
More than 30 thousand people took part in the procession.
