In Tursunzade (Tajikistan), the ‘Garden of Memory’ event was held, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory.

This event brought together people of different generations and nationalities to honor those who gave their lives for a peaceful sky above us.

Near the Avenue of Remembrance, on the grounds in front of the Orthodox cemetery, activists, schoolchildren, and members of the diplomatic corps planted 80 pine trees.

Each tree has become a symbol of gratitude and eternal memory of the heroes who fought for our freedom.

Around the world, 27 million trees are planned to be planted one for every life lost during the Great Patriotic War. This is our way of saying: We remember, we are proud, we honor your sacrifice.
