The young poet Mirza Gelovani, who was most afraid of not having time to feel life and enjoy love, also went to war.

“The war kills the writer of poems in me, but raises a poet in me…”, the young poet said.

Three fiery years fought poet-fighter on the front line of the front. In the spring of 1944 he was offered a job in Moscow, but Mirza refused to leave the front.

Mirza Gelovani’s war lyrics include 37 poems. The rumble of guns and the whistle of bullets was barely silent, as he took up a notebook and began to sketch lines.
