From teacher to medalist.

Nasir Baitursunov is one of the few full holders of the Order of Glory awarded during the war.

Even before the war he graduated from the pedagogical technical school, and afterwards worked as a teacher. On the fronts of the Great Patriotic War since May, 1943.

Being a gunner of 45-mm gun sergeant Nasir Baitursunov in fights on June 24, 1944 on the right bank of the river Drut in Byelorussia he shot down the enemy assault gun, destroyed two fire points and five Hitlerites.

This is just one of the feats realized by the son of the Kyrgyz people.
