We invite school students from the CIS countries

to take part in the research competition

If you are a student in grades 5–11 of a general education school

If you are a student in years 1–4 of a vocational educational institution

Take part in our competition — the first of its kind for schoolchildren and students of the Commonwealth of Independent States — dedicated to:

Shaping the image of the Soviet people's collective heroism during the Great Patriotic War in historical memory

Fostering respectful attitudes toward our shared past among students across the CIS
3

Introducing students to the traditions of scientific schools in CIS countries in interpreting the heroic legacy of wartime
4

Teaching students methods of historical source verification and resisting deliberate distortion of historical facts
5

Developing students’ research competencies and preparing them for future career choices

Students in grades 5–11 of general education institutions

Students in years 1–4 of secondary vocational education institutions

The competition is held in two rounds:

1

First Round

Until May 5, 2025 — Submission of works and review by the competition committee
2

Second Round

May 2025 — Finalists will travel to the All-Russian Children's Center "Orlyonok" to present their projects in person during a patriotic session.
