Bishkek citizens are invited to tidy up the graves of front-line soldiers

The search movement of Kyrgyzstan “Our Victory-Bizdin Jenish” invites Kyrgyz citizens to put in order the burials of veterans-front-line soldiers at the Fraternal cemetery “Kyzyl Asker” and the northern cemetery near Dordoi market.

– In honor of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory there are many events. But for the searcher is always valuable information about the burial places of the fallen warriors. It is important to understand whether the surname of this or that front-line soldier on the monument. To enter only one name sometimes it is necessary to struggle for years for restoration of justice. Our schoolchildren are always amazed that in Russia, Belarus or other countries they still take care of mass graves.

Veterans who came from the war, or died after the war from wounds, victors of fascism. It is not without reason that now in villages and towns on the monuments on one side are written the names of those who died and went missing in the war, and on the other side – those who have already died after from wounds.

Those who returned and died in the first years after the war are real heroes. They were wounded, concussed and therefore died after only 5, 10 or 20 years. And it is quite possible that now there are no relatives of theirs in Kyrgyzstan, but they do not cease to be heroes-victors. Unfortunately, their graves are neglected, overgrown with old trees and bushes. On some of them there are surnames and names, even photos were preserved, but on others there is nothing, only a star is left as a reminder.

I invite all Bishkek citizens to take part in our action “Let’s preserve the monuments of Victory”.

Each veteran’s grave is a monument to courage. They are all part of the biography of our country. It is important to preserve their names. You can come as a class, a family and take patronage over a few lonely graves. Clean, if possible, paint the fence and the star. And take pictures if possible.

And it will be better to open the portal “Memory of the People” and type there the name, surname, year of birth of the veteran on whose grave you visited. Then you will be able to see on the site information about the soldier, his award documents and a description of where he fought.

So the other day on the territory of the civilian cemetery of the Fraternal cemetery “Kyzyl Asker” searchers checked the data on one veteran who is buried there. It turned out that Oleinikov Radion Vasilyevich fought in the headquarters of the defense of Leningrad, awarded several orders, and lived only 10 years after the war.

Be sure to tell about the veteran in the networks, write to us, on the social network pages of the “Immortal Regiment”, the Search Movement of Kyrgyzstan “Our Victory-Bizdin Jenish” and “Save Victory Monuments-Kyrgyzstan”. Be sure to leave information with the cemetery management.

If possible, take gloves, saw, electric saw, cans of green and red paint and brushes for cleaning” – explained the searchers.

The action was agreed with the director of BARU – Edil Dzhumaliev, who in turn explained that they would be happy to receive any help from citizens and guests of the capital.
